HUMAN BETTER

At La Luz, we know that we can all HUMAN BETTER, which simply means caring about ourselves, others, and our communities, both locally and globally. We believe that through authentic learning experiences in the community, and not just sitting in a classroom, kids will learn more about themselves and others. This will then lead to the development of the skills, mindsets, and inspiration to become joyful and engaged young adults.

La Luz graduates: 

  • Know themselves and have a strong sense of purpose

  • Have built strong personal relationships and networks of support

  • Feel confident that they have the skills, habits, and mindsets to conquer whatever challenges come their way.  

  • Are academically ready for success in high school and beyond
